Dr. Lauren Steim has a rich history in this community that dates back to 1900. Her great-great grandfather was a homesteader in the Upper Elwha Valley where her family still resides. She went to school at Dry Creek Elementary and has grown up in the valley her entire life. She met her husband at Port Angeles High School and they decided to begin their journey at South Puget Sound Community College. Following graduation, they transferred to Washington State University to complete a Bachelors in Science. They both decided to pursue the field of dentistry at University of Detroit Mercy in Michigan. During dental school she enjoyed traveling along the east coast with her husband and two English Bulldogs. Upon receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, she had the opportunity to return home to serve the community from her childhood, and start a family of her own.
