Brenda Powell, MD

Dr. Brenda Powell is the Medical Director at the Lower Elwha Health Department. She has been here since 2019 and loves being a part of the community. She is board certified in Family Medicine and Integrative Medicine.  She studied medicine at Duke University Medical school and stayed for residency training in family medicine. She came to the Lower Elwha Clinic from the Cleveland Clinic. Her integrative medicine certification broadens her approach taking care of patients’ health. She is happy to teach her patients about the importance of lifestyle, diet, vitamins and supplements for their wellness goals.

Dr. Powell is a volunteer physician for Lindblad/National Geographic cruise expeditions. She loves to travel and has been above the Arctic Circle, to Antarctica, down the Mekong River and other adventures. Dr. Powell is a native North Westerner who likes to spend her free time hiking and riding horses.
