Randall Carpio, ND

Dr. Randall Carpio is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor who joined the Lower Elwha Health Department in the summer of 2025. He is a Family Practice Physician with clinical experience in endocrinology, psychiatry, and intravenous therapy. His clinical interests include the management of Type 2 Diabetes, Obesity, and Mood Disorders, with an emphasis on preventive health.

Dr. Carpio earned his Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Washington. During his medical training, he provided weight management services as a health and fitness coach by developing personalized wellness plans that integrate exercise physiology, nutrition, and behavioral psychology.

In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Carpio has experience in motivational coaching, pharmaceutical research, teaching, and public education. A lifelong athlete, he has played and taught tennis since the early 2000s.

Born and raised on the Big Island of Hawai‘i, Dr. Carpio’s core philosophy is rooted in respect, compassion, and appreciation. He is committed to practicing medicine from the perspective of his patients’ best interests, combining evidence-based medicine with individualized care.
